Tomorrow Mary and I leave for Japan for a six week trip! This is our honeymoon and opportunity for a grand travel experience before the arrival of our son next year. We’re feeling a mix of anxiety and excitement as we don’t know exactly what to expect.

We will be in Nagano at a winery for two weeks and in Nishiaizu Town for three at an organic farm. Currently we are mostly packed with a few errands remaining before we head down to Houston to stay with family before we take off tomorrow morning.

With two dogs, a cat, and six chickens, we’ve organized who will stay where and check on the house while we are away and the biggest hurdle left is figuring out the transit system to get to our destinations within Japan.
